LEHI — Locals dressed in their neon-best and ran through an electric lighting fixture course on September 20th for Utah’s first Electric Run. But the neon lights and lasers weren’t the only sparks flying that night.
Thanksgiving Point’s Electric Run was the filming location for the first episode of the 2014 season of “The Bachelor,” which will air in January. Juan Pablo Galavis, who was a contestant on last season’s “The Bachelorette,” ran the Electric Run as part of a group date with hopeful “The Bachelor” contestants. While ABC isn’t able to release any information about the upcoming season, one of our readers sneaked a couple iPhone shots of Galavis.
Utahvalley360.com reader Dayna Magleby fought the crowd and nabbed some up-close shots of “The Bachelor” star during the filming of the show’s first episode at Thanksgiving Point.
Runners started at Thanksgiving Point after sundown and ran a 5K through creative electric lighting fixtures (think electric rain forests and rainbow arches), all to the beat of energizing music that matched the mood of the unique lighting elements. Electric Runs are hosted nationwide and benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Season 18 of “The Bachelor” is set to premiere in January according to an article by the Huffington Post.
