BYU assistant men’s basketball coach Mark Pope will be the next men’s head coach at Utah Valley University, according to CBS Sports.

Pope, who has been an assistant alongside BYU head coach Dave Rose since 2011, has helped BYU to two NCAA Tournament appearances and one NIT appearance.

He played two seasons at Washington State as a player before transferring to Kentucky his junior and senior seasons (1994–96), where he helped the team to an Elite Eight appearance and a National Title (1996).
