Orem native makes it into American Idol’s final Top 24


Orem native Jenn Blosil has made it into the Top 24 on the final season of “American Idol.”

“HOLY SMOKES- tears came to my eyes today as my heart swelled with gratitude,” Blosil wrote on her Facebook page. “Being a contestant on American Idol has truly changed my life. The contestants, the crew, the judges, the musicians, YOU — THANK YOU.”

The 23-year-old, who graduated from Mountain View High School in Orem, sang  “The Hanging Tree” from the “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” in last night’s performance. Blosil served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New York New York South Mission.
