Casting call When Brittany would go out to eat with her dad, he always made the reservation under Lars, causing the kids to giggle. That inspired the name of her creative website, The House That Lars Built, garnering close to 150,000 followers on Instagram.
Costume change “I started to pick up the recorder again. I took lessons as a child and I play with my mom when I go home. I’ve started to play it for my readers on Instastories just for kicks and giggles. We have a good time laughing at how terrible the recorder is.”
No place like home “I eat chocolate covered cinnamon bears like they’re medicine, and Startup’s Candy Company in Provo has the best of the best.”
Behind the scenes “I pretty much put all my behind-the-scenes facts out into the open on Insta stories. I’m not very interested in appearing to lead a perfect life. Perfection = Snoozeville!”
The show must go on “Building a creative company from nothing has been quite the journey. I’ve been able to do things I never dreamt of. That said learning how a successful business works, creative or not, has come with price and I learned that I’m not the best at taking care of both the creative and business sides. Large opportunities were missed simply because I couldn’t keep up with it all. I knew there would be a point when I’d need someone to help. I brought on a business manager about a year and a half ago and things have revved up and together we’re taking Lars in a direction I’m really excited about. Stay tuned!”
