The traditional mall is a thing of the past. With the development of University Place, the former University Mall has rebranded itself into more than a mall — it’s now a community space.

“The development of University Place, which now includes the Orchard Park and Kid’s Place, gives us the opportunity to have more free activities and events for the entire family year round,” said Cindy Nguyen, director of marketing at University Place. “Not only is University Place a place to shop and dine, but it’s a place to be entertained and have fun!”

University Place now includes Kid’s Learn & Play, which teaches basic new skills to preschoolers and toddlers every Monday at 11 a.m. Besides the weekly Kid’s Learn & Play classes, University Place hosts multiple community events each month.

Now when you think of the Orem mall, shopping and restaurants aren’t the only things that comes to mind — though those still exist — but free family-friendly events are added into the equation.
