Trev and Bowen Davis — 2017 high schoolers who will change the world

Trev Davis came to Liahona in ninth grade, and a drama trip to California that year helped him create lifelong friendships he still has today. He also realized this year the importance of friendship with his father. “If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t know how to talk to girls,” Trev says.

Mini-resume Second place comedic monologue at Region 18 drama competition; first place duo/trio scene at National Shakespeare Competition, played Dewey Finn in “School of Rock.”

Plans after high school Travel, work, LDS mission.

Advice for freshmen Listen to Stevie Nicks.

Keys to happiness in high school Smoked gouda.

Guilty pleasure “Twilight.” I’m team Jacob. Also, “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars. That song is so bad, but too funky not to jam out to.

Most common thing your parents say to you “You’re our favorite. Don’t tell the others.”

Biggest pressure To not suck.

How will you change the world? One song at a time, one kind deed at a time, one prayer at a time.

Bowen Davis was awarded “Best Actor in a Leading Role” for Cat in the Hat, alongside his twin. “We shared that role, and it was fun because we got to freak the audience out,” Bowen says.

Plans after high school LDS mission, SUU for acting and pre-med. Medical school.

Advice for freshmen Invest in long-term friendships instead of steady high school relationships.

Keys to happiness in high school You are the only you that will ever exist. Don’t spend time hating yourself.

Guilty pleasure “Fearless” and “Speak Now” by Taylor Swift. That stuff is freaking gold.

How would others describe you? I turn boring conversations into interesting discussions.

Stress management Reading the Book of Mormon. It’s my current obsession.

How will you change the world? By respecting women and being an example for men around me to do the same.
