Brett Crandall, friend and photographer for Utah Valley Magazine, was killed in a car accident Jan. 20, 2001. He died returning from Park City after photographing pre-Olympic events and the Sundance Film Festival.
Up to his death Brett continued to refine his techniques to produce some of the finest art in his field.
Brett owned BACI Photography with his wife, Angelique.
The family would like to thank Dr. Murdock and all those who participated in a moment of silence held for Brett at the Soldier Hollow Olympic Venue on Jan. 21, 2001.
In addition to his wife, Angelique, Brett leaves behind three girls: Alexandra Sage, 6, Arianna Rue, 4, and Addison Jane, 2.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the M. Angelique Crandall Donative Fund at First Security Bank.
“I believe very strongly in the power of a single image to evoke such emotions as understanding, compassion, outrage and wonder. Photographs are a clear revelation of each individual photographer. I would hope that someday the photographs I make would be recognized not by the credit, but by the images themselves.”
