How could we pick just one?
Oh, baby! We gathered some of Utah’s best mommy bloggers to pick their favorites from the 100-plus darling submissions we received from readers this year. It wasn’t easy, but these four women coordinated their schedules and fell in love with the same few faces. The winners received gift certificates to Dear Lizzie Boutique & Bistro in Highland. Dear Lizzie, please keep making shopping fun. And dear Utah Valley women, please keep making kids as cute as this bunch.
Welcoming a new baby into the family can be as daunting as it is darling. To help women make the transition to motherhood, the United Way of Utah County and the Utah County Health Department have teamed up to offer in-home volunteer counselors with informational resources about parenting and child development.
“It has been seriously the greatest thing I have ever done,” says Saratoga Springs mother Leslie Evans, who enrolled in the program when her first son, Nolan, was born two and a half years ago. “The first visit was so warm and welcoming. I have received so much information on the stages of my kids’ development. Even just questions and concerns I have about being a mom are addressed.”
Welcome Baby coordinator Stephanie Anderson believes empowering parents like Leslie is key to empowering society.
“When we make families stronger,” she says, “we make communities stronger.”
