ALPINE — An Alpine couple is asking for help in locating their daughter, Indica Huddleston, who has been missing for a week.
Huddleston, a 16-year-old girl, was last seen Aug. 16 around 6 p.m. when her friends dropped her off at The Junction gas station in Alpine and she said she would walk home.
The family believes Huddleston could be with someone she met on Facebook. A search of Huddleston’s phone records and social media usage shows she has been in contact with several unknown individuals that may have convinced her to meet them.
Indica Huddleston, who usually has active social media sites, has not posted anything in the past seven days.
Bryan Huddleston, Indica’s father, said in a press release that Indica keeps contact no matter what the situation is. “If she was safe, she would have at least called us to let us know that she is safe,” Bryan Huddleston said. “But everything surrounding her has gone completely silent.”
While detectives are working to find the individuals from Indica Huddleston’s social media accounts, they are unable to send out an Amber Alert because she is classified as a runaway. The family is hoping more information about the case could change the case’s status allowing state and federal support in the search for Indica Huddleston.
Indica Huddleston may have been spotted in Las Vegas, but that is unconfirmed. Other places Huddleston may be include Seattle and Los Angeles.
Huddleston is 5-foot-3 and 120 pounds with hazel eyes, olive skin and long brown hair.
