Google Fiber vs. broadband: A symbolic video representation


PROVO — Provo City published a humorous video on their YouTube channel Monday to help inform residents on the difference between Google Fiber and broadband.

Provo Mayor John Curtis posted on his blog, “Watch the fun video above to find out more about Fiber in Provo! It was made by locals excited for what we’ll be able to do with a Gig.”

Google Fiber will officially make its way to Provo in October 2013. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to sign up to receive free Google Fiber’s 1 Gbps Internet service. Only 25 companies will receive free service from the Google Fiber Community Connections Program, but all interested companies can apply at Applications are due on Oct. 10 by 6 p.m.
