It’s the weekend at last. Don’t get caught stuck on the couch when there are so many activities happening around Utah Valley. Here are five events sure to liven up your weekend:

1. Halloween Lift Rides

While Halloween is officially over this weekend, the Halloween Lift Rides at Sundance Ski Resort have extended through Nov. 2nd. Enjoy the beautiful scenery before fall ends while traveling over Halloween-themed scenes. With the weather forecast promising nice weather, enjoy the brisk night air from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Lift tickets cost $15 for adults and $13 for children. Deals are available for college students and couples.

2. Sexual Assault Awareness Workshop

If you’re looking for a more educational event to fill your weekend, attend Provo Police Department’s Sexual Assault Awareness Workshop. Learn how to report on sexual assault cases, about the investigation process, safety tips, prevention and more. The workshop is free to everyone on Saturday, but the Provo Police Department requests that you RSVP by calling (801)852-6375 or email cwhatcott@provo.org. Meet in the Provo Rec Center Eastside classroom for the event.

3. Salzburg Marionette Theatre

The famous Austrian Salzburg Marionette Theatre is taking their 100th anniversary tour to BYU this weekend with two classic skits. These professional puppeteers will perform “The Sound of Music” on Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. as well as Saturday at 2 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall. “Hansel and Gretel” will be performed on Saturday at 10 a.m. All performances are in German with English subtitles. Tickets cost $15-$25 with the matinee at $10.

4. BYU women’s soccer

The No. 20 ranked BYU women’s soccer team takes on the University of San Diego this Friday at BYU South Field. The Cougars (11-4-1, 5-1-0) are looking to continue their four game winning streak. Come cheer on the Cougars before the season comes to a close. Tickets cost $5-$7. 

5. Vocal Point

After releasing their tribute to Sara Bareilles’ “Brave” last week, Vocal Point will perform at the Covey Center for the Arts on Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. This BYU nine-man A cappella group has a reputation of combining fun popular songs with humor and dance. Tickets cost $10-12. Watch their new music video of “Brave” below.
