Utah County snowplows were pulled into action early Tuesday morning in an attempt to keep roads clear and driving conditions safe.

A “Winter Storm Warning” is in effect until Wednesday at 4 p.m. for Utah County as up to 10 inches of snow is expected to accumulate in the valley by midnight tonight.

The snow is expected to continue to fall tomorrow and taper off as the week ends.

Along with substantial snowfall, valley temperatures have plunged into the teens and single digits. Wednesday’s high is expected to be 8 degrees with a low of -6 with a light wind.

The Utah Highway Patrol is urging drivers to slow down and buckle up.
