7 Cozy Winter Hang-Outs


Battle cabin fever this winter by venturing out, but be sure to head somewhere that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Try one of these favorite winter hangouts in Utah Valley. Stay cozy, UV!

1. University Mall Foyer, Orem

The foyer in front of the interior entrance at University Mall has always been the same — cozy. Really cozy. Head over to University Mall to shop, eat or just stretch your legs. But whatever you do, don’t forget to take a moment to enjoy the fireplace in the south wing lobby.

2. Hinckley Center Lobby, Provo

Once you sink into a big couch by the fire, you’ll never want to leave. The Hinckley Center is as classy as it is cozy. Bring a book and soak up the natural light from the building’s big, beautiful windows.

3. The Chocolate, Orem

This dessert café is like a home away from home — if your home was continuously filled with fresh baked goodies, that is. They have a room available to rent for events, or if you’re looking for a place to duck in to warm up and get a treat on a whim, The Chocolate is good for that, too.

The rustic cabin atmosphere at Foundry Grill is the perfect spot for a cozy date night. The fresh vegetables and hearty meats, all cooked to order, will warm you from the inside out.

5. The Slurp!, American Fork

Enjoy this snug little cafe’s hot and cold drinks, treats and funky decor. It’s a perfect meeting spot to chat with a friend.

The snug chairs on the upper floor are calling your name. Bring a book or pick one off the shelf. Then settle in for the afternoon.

7. Decadence Café, Orem

The Chocolate is well-named as we name it the top spot for hot chocolate in Utah County.

Decadence has premium hot chocolate and ice cream.

Get yourself a decadent cup of hot chocolate here, pure Belgian chocolate cubes dropped in steamed whole milk. Or try a roasted cocoa espresso, Decadence Cafe’s coffee alternative.
