Alex Boye is ‘Happy’ with his newest Africanized music video at Loveland Living Planet Aquarium

After the success of his viral “Frozen music video with the One Voice Children’s Choir, singer Alex Boye arranged to work with the children’s choir again for the song “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.

Dressed as Gru from the popular film series “Despicable Me” and surround by his minions, the One Voice Children’s Choir, Boye filmed at the newly opened Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper. Boye got the idea to film the “Happy” music video there when he toured the aquarium with a friend.

“I wanted to do a fun cover that everybody knew and would dance to,” Boye wrote on his YouTube post. “After watching Pharrell perform ‘Happy’ at the Oscars, I knew that would be the next song to ‘Africanize’.”

This time Boye’s video featured two young solo artists: Viviena Wolfgramm, who was ad-libbing at the end of the Africanized “Let it Go,” and 11-year-old Aaliyah Rose, a girl he learned about when a friend sent him a link to her YouTube video.
