OREM — Nordstrom, Inc. announced on Tuesday that they would open a Nordstrom Rack in Orem in spring 2015.
The discount retail store will open on at University Crossing, which is at the intersection of University Parkway and State St. in Orem. Other retail stores currently in the complex include: Burlington Coat Factory, Pier 1 Imports, Barnes & Noble and In-N-Out Burger.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to bring a Nordstrom Rack to University Crossing,” said Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack, in a press release. “We are fortunate to have many loyal customers in the Orem community who know us well and we look forward to serving them with many of the same great brands we carry in Nordstrom stores at Nordstrom Rack prices.”
Nordstrom Rack is considered the “off-price retail division” of Nordstrom. Customers save on trendy apparel, accessories and shoes at a discounted price ranging from 30 to 70 percent off.
Nordstrom pulled out of University Mall in Feb. 2012 right after the new location opened at City Creek in Salt Lake.
