Grizzly Mountain and Arive Homes awarded platinum in Tier 2 and Tier 3
OREM — McEwan Custom Homes, Grizzly Mountain Development and Arive Homes won Judges’ Choice awards from the Utah Valley Home Builders Association, highlighting a tremendous year at the 2014 Utah Valley Parade of Homes®.
Different from the People’s Choice award, which is selected by Parade of Homes® attendees (though McEwan Custom Homes won the People’s Choice award as well), the Judges’ Choice award is done in conjunction with the Parade of Homes® and recognizes the top homes in each tier (based on square footage and price) as determined by selected peers in the home building profession. The homes are judged on a range of criteria including design, execution and craftsmanship.
“We had a tremendous number of gorgeous homes,” said Caroline Merrill, executive officer at the Utah Valley Home Builders Association. “These are the best of the best — the real cream of the crop — and it’s nice to recognize their hard work in this way. These builders are just some of the many skilled contractors we have in our valley.”
McEwan Custom Homes won the platinum (1st place) Judges’ Choice award for Tier 1 (largest and most expensive homes) while Ezra Lee Design + Build was awarded the gold (2nd place) and Clive T. Roundy Construction, Inc. was awarded the silver (3rd place).
In Tier 2, Grizzly Mountain Development’s entry took the top prize, followed by Millhaven Homes (gold) and Davies Development’s Lindon home (3rd).
Arive Homes LLC took the Tier 3 platinum award, beating out Foster Construction LLC (gold) and Copper Woods Development (silver).
Winners were recognized at the VIP Celebration on Monday evening. This event was for members and their immediate family members.
