In Utah County, the summer menu serves up city festivals almost every week. From Provo’s Freedom Days to Payson’s Golden Onion Days, cities share their history and their future with activities and good old-fashioned family fun. Spanish Fork’s Fiesta Days will run July 16–24, with activities ranging from a softball tournament, carnival and craft fair to big-name events like the grand parade, fireworks spectacular and rodeo.
This year’s 72nd Annual Fiesta Days Rodeo ropes in an audience July 21–24. The rodeo was voted #1 Rodeo in the Intermountain Area in 2012 and has had 30 consecutive sellouts. Attendees will watch some of the top cowboys and cowgirls in the world and see classic events including bareback bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, bull riding and women’s barrel racing. Kids can also get in on the action with mutton bustin’.
Whether it’s the Speedy Spaniard Mile Run, baby quilt sale or fish rodeo, Fiesta Days keeps visitors from summer boredom. For information visit spanishfork.org.
