13 well-known Mormons who accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge

Over the past few weeks the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has been sweeping the nation with buckets of ice-cold water.

The Ice Bucket Challenge began as a way to raise money for ALS Association. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.

Those who are challenged have 24 hours to dump a bucket of ice water over their heads or else they need to make a donation to ALS.

Here are a few well-known Mormons from athletes to politicians who have taken the challenge.
