The Payson Temple for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be dedicated on Sunday, June 7, 2015.

Prior to the temple dedication, the Payson Temple will be open to the public for free from Friday, April 24, through Saturday, May 23, 2015. It will be open every day except for Sundays. Also, the approximately 22 stakes who will be assigned to the Payson Temple will put together a performance for the dedication to be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015.

The 22 stakes the temple will service are comprised of approximately 78,000 Church members who live between Spanish Fork and Nephi. These members previous went to the Provo Temple or Manti Temple for services.

After LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson announced the temple on Jan. 25, 2010, construction began in Oct. 8, 2011.

The Payson Temple, which will be the 15th temple in Utah, will be the 146th operating temple for the LDS Church. The 145th operating temple, the Cordoba Argentina Temple, will be dedicated on Sunday, May 17.
