




From the Point of the Mountain all the way down to Santaquin, Utah Valley has a lot to offer — especially in weekend activities. There are no excuses for staying in all weekend when there are these quality events happening around Utah Valley. Here are five of our picks for the upcoming weekend:
1. Vocal Point
Aca-awesome! Using only their voices, this nine-member, nationally recognized a cappella group wows with their energized performances.
When: Jan. 16 (7:30 p.m.) and Jan. 17 (2 p.m. and 8 p.m.)

2. Pulse!
Taking talent from Utah Valley dancers, “Pulse!” is a brand new show from the top dancers at Center Stage Performing Arts Studio. Creating a fusion of music and dance in a variety of styles, the performance promises to “electrify audiences.”
When: Jan. 14-17, 7 p.m.

3. Utah International Auto Expo
Vrooom! With more than 350 new vehicles, the Utah International Auto Expo will be a dream come true for any avid car lover.
When: Jan. 16-19

4. The Mystery of Edwin Drood
In an Inception-esque manner, this musical ventures into a play inside a play as you solve the mystery of Edwin Drood. As it says on the website, “The giddy playfulness of this play-within-a-play draws the audience toward one of Drood’s most talked-about features, the audience votes on the solution as prelude to the most unusual and hilarious finale!”
When: Jan. 15-17, 29-31, 7:30 p.m. (matinee on 17 and 31 at 2 p.m.)

5. BYU men’s volleyball
No. 7 BYU takes on the No. 4 UCLA both Friday and Saturday night for the conference opener. After tallying one win and one loss on the road last weekend, the Cougars are ready for a tight competition at home.
