BYU announced changes to their games with the University of Arizona Tuesday morning.

The University of Arizona, in conjunction with BYU, announced changes and additions to a series between their football programs on Tuesday.

The scheduled games for the 2026 and 2027 seasons are an addition to plans already made to play in 2016, 2018 and 2020. The 2016 game will be played Sept. 3 in Glendale at the University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the NFL’ Arizona Cardinals, and they will meet in Tucson on Sept. 1, 2018. It was announced today that the 2020 game — originally slated in Provo on Sept. 12, 2020 — will be moved to Las Vegas and be played on Sept. 4, 2021.

The Cougars will host the Wildcats on Sept. 12, 2026 at LaVell Edwards Stadium, and the Cougars will travel to Arizona Stadium on Sept. 11, 2027.

BYU and Arizona have a long history competing against one another, first meeting in 1936. They have met 22 times, and the Wildcats lead the series 12–9–1. They last met in the 2008 Las Vegas Bowl.
