The Piano Guys are “Bach” with a new classy, yet funky, twist.

Mashing up the Jackson 5’s pop favorite, “I Want You Back,” and five melodies from composer J.S. Bach, The Piano Guys mix classics from two decades — the 1970s with the 1770s.

“We decided to put together a gig with two wigs in dandy attire and two hep-cats in some funkadelic threads to see if it would fly,” The Piano Guys wrote on YouTube. “Incidentally, Steve’s 1770/1970 alter egos are ‘Sir Reginald von Sharp’ and ‘Scooby’ while Jon’s are ‘Duke Johann van Keymeister’ and ‘Phil.'”

As far as The Piano Guys are aware, there has never been a collaboration between an electric cello, grand piano, harpsichord, Baroque cello, talk box and kick drum before.

The music video was filmed in the Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley.
