The madness got to Louisville women’s basketball player Mariya Moore in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Moore, who decked BYU guard Makenzi Morrison in the beginning of the second half of Saturday’s game, tweeted an apology to Morrison Sunday afternoon.
Emotions and intensity of the game got best of me it was very physical & scrappy. Sorry @KenziMorrison23 for my foul. It was uncalled for. — Mariya Moore (@Riyabelikeee) March 22, 2015
Morrison responded Monday morning:
@Riyabelikeee thank you for the apology, it's all good. Good luck to you and your team at the tournament.

The No. 3 Cardinals were up by 16 points against the No. 14 Cougars when Moore thrust her left shoulder into Morrison’s face. Moore received a flagrant foul for the assault, but Morrison delivered her justice by making both of her free throws.
The Cougars’, who won the West Coast Conference Tournament after upsetting No. 1 Gonzaga, season came to a close after losing 86–53 to the Cardinals. Morrison scored a total of 9 points behind teammates Lexi Eaton (14 points) and Morgan Bailey (15 points).
