This 2-year-old Cougar fan knows the BYU fight song better than you

The next generation of Cougar fans is in good hands, or at least it seems that way with Haidyn Hawkins.

Haidyn, whose nickname is Bojy for “bundle of joy,” is a True Blue Cougar at just 2 years old. From “Rise all loyal Cougars” to the “Raw, raw, raws,” 2-year-old Haidyn successfully sings the entire fight song with little prompting from her parents in a recent YouTube video.

“We sing it at home or in the car,” said Jeff Hawkins, Haidyn’s dad. “It’s something that we just wanted her to know, so we just started to teach it to her over the past few months.”

Jeff and his wife Angie both graduated from BYU and shared a love for BYU sports, which they have passed on to their two daughters. The Hawkins currently live in Omaha, Nebraska, but the family still bleeds blue. Avid fans of the BYU football and basketball teams, the Hawkins say they will support anything BYU.

In February, the Hawkins family visited Provo and attended a BYU men’s basketball game at the Marriott Center where Haidyn was finally able to sing along with other BYU fans. And according to Jeff, “She absolutely loved it.”

Now the Hawkins hope to take their girls to their first football game, preferably between BYU and Nebraska this year on September 5.

Haidyn, “our praise (is) to you.”

so adorable. I am hoping that there is a cougar club member somewhere that could help them get tickets to the Nebraska BYU game!
