This is the last weekend to see the 2015 Utah Valley Parade of Homes. The Hadfield by RC Dent is in Mapleton.

From the Point of the Mountain all the way down to Santaquin, Utah Valley has a lot to offer — especially in weekend activities. There are no excuses for staying in all weekend when there are these quality events happening around Utah Valley. Here are five of our picks for the upcoming weekend:

1. Strawberry Days

You had me at strawberry. But if you need more excuses to go to Pleasant Grove’s city festival, then remember they will have sports, shopping, carnival games and so much more.

When: June 14–20

2. Strawberry Days Rodeo

Yeehaw! Round up your family and friends for rodeo season starting with the Strawberry Days Rodeo. Have we got you lassoed yet?

When: June 17–20 at 8 p.m.
Where: Pleasant Grove Arena
Cost: $11–$15

3. Stars and Stripes Dance and Beach Party

Starting with a concert and dance party on Friday night then moving into a beach party on Saturday, the Shops at Riverwoods is getting your Fourth of July celebration started early. Prepare yourself for a beach ball drop (at 5 p.m. Saturday), sand sculpturea, beach-themed photo ops, face painting, food and so much more. Who needs a beach anyway?

When: June 19–20 (Starts at 6 p.m. Friday night)

4. Utah Valley Parade of Homes

With 32 homes this year, the Utah Valley Parade of Homes has a wide variety of home features and designs to daydream about. Plan your tour by checking out the houses before you go here.

5. “Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical”

Just a spoonful of the “Mary Poppins” musical at the SCERA, makes the summer nights all the more better. “Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical” promises to be a magical stage production of a Disney classic.

When: June 5–20 at 8 p.m.
Where: SCERA Shell Outdoor Theater
Cost: $10–14 (Nonprofit and church group rates are $6)
