Utah ranks the 6th best state to take a summer road trip, according to WalletHub. Topping Utah as the best states to travel by car include:

  1. Oregon
  2. Nevada
  3. Minnesota
  4. Washington
  5. Ohio

The worst state to road trip in is Connecticut. (See all the standings here.)

The study ranked each state using 20 different key metrics subcategorized under three sections:  driving and lodging costs, road conditions, and fun and scenic attractions. Utah snagged a 28th, 2nd and 17th ranking, respectively, in each of those categories.
