Orem’s Jenn Blosil shows her ‘True Colors’ in top 14 performance

Orem resident Jenn Blosil showed her “true colors” Wednesday night on “American Idol: The Farewell Season.”

Blosil, 23, sang Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” for her top 14 performance.

“I knew that you had it in you,” said Harry Connick Jr., American Idol judge. “I had a problem when you sang ‘My Funny Valentine’ last week because I was hoping you would have sung it like you sang this. In my opinion, that was a flawless lyric delivery.”

Blosil is the only Utah County singer left in “American Idol: The Farewell Season.”

“Is it weird that I got chills from my own performance?! TOO MUCH TO ADMIT?! WELP. thank you, Ms. Lauper, for that song!!!” Blosil wrote on her Facebook page following Wednesday night’s performance.

The top 10 will be announced live on “American Idol” Thursday night at 8/7 CDT on FOX.
