Utah-Tube: BYU football’s Ty Detmer takes GoPro on Hawaii zipline

Hawaii got a taste of True Blue as BYU football’s Ty Detmer took to the treetops on a Hawaiian zipline adventure. And Detmer recorded it all on a Go Pro.

Detmer along with his wife Kim, Reno Mahe and others took a break in Oahu, Hawaii for a zipline adventure at Climb Works Keana Farms North Shore Zip Line in Kahuku.

The football coaches as well as BYU student-athletes were in Laie, Hawaii for the BYU FanFest 2016. While there, the team held a football fireside to continue the tradition started by former BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall. Mendenhall held firesides the night before games, but new BYU head coach Kalani Sitake has decided to hold firesides during the summer before the 2016 season begins.

Detmer was hired as the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach for the BYU football team in December 2015.
