From the Point of the Mountain all the way down to Santaquin, Utah Valley has a lot to offer — especially in weekend activities. There are no excuses for staying in all weekend when there are these quality events happening around Utah Valley. Here are five of our picks for the upcoming weekend:
Lindon City Days
Whether you want to make some scaly friends or your kids are feeling more crafty, Lindon City Days are coming to a close, but not without a variety of family fun entertainment. The Grand Parade begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday starting at Center St. from 500 East to Main St.

Rooftop Concert Series: Aquabats
The ska band that started out as a spoof is reaching a new generation just two generations later through their Netflix show. Now they are making a stop at the highly popular outdoor concert in Provo. Read more about the Aquabats’ Provo show here.

“The Music Man”
We’ve got trouble right here in Sundance with a capital “T” that rhymes with “P” that stands for play. Take a break from the summer heat with a cool night watching “The Music Man” in the mountains. Observe Harold Hill, a traveling salesman, swindle the innocent town of River City, Iowa into starting a band for their children. Laughter’s included in Hill’s sale of the show. Orem Owlz vs. Helena
Take me out to the ball game. It doesn’t matter which night you are feeling the seventh inning stretch — the Orem Owlz play against Idaho Falls every night this weekend.
When: Aug. 4–6 at 7:05 p.m.
Where: Brent Brown Ballpark in Orem
Take a trip from Utah’s mountains to the South Pacific with this 1949 musical. You’ll get more than the island feel as the characters tackle issues surrounding racism. Read the preview of the show here.
