Utah-Tube: Jamesthemormon and The National Parks bring ‘joy to the world’ in combined music video

Provo’s Jamesthemormon and The National Parks are bringing “joy to the world” with more than their music this holiday season.

The musicians joined forces for a new version of “Joy to the World.” For the music video, the artists united with Traeger Grills, Nike and the Catholic Community Services to help serve families “misplaced from their homes” this holiday season.

“Huge shoutout to our friend James — this was an enormous project (with the song/video being just the tip of the iceberg) that did so much good for people who really need it,” The National Parks wrote on Facebook. “We’re so happy to be a small part of it. Merry Christmas everyone!”

“Joy to the World” is one of 12 songs featured on the 3rd annual “Merry Christmas Provo” cd. The cd features Utah Valley artists and the music videos are released every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The cd is sold for $10 and 100 percent of the proceeds go towards helping children, elderly and those with disabilities during the holidays through United Way’s Sub for Santa program.

“Every year, United Way’s Sub for Santa program helps over 1,300 local families. These are families who have faced impossible medical challenges, single mothers just trying to get by and college students far from home,” United Way wrote on its website.
