For fans still disappointed with the end of the Cougars Men’s Basketball season, a glimmer of hope arrived in an Instagram post from BYU guard Nick Emery.

Seljaas announced his mission call to the Iowa Des Moines mission on Instagram in February 2016.

Despite it being his freshman year, Seljaas became well-known among Cougar fans for his work behind the arc.

He set the BYU record for the highest 3-point shooting percentage — 50 percent — during his freshman season, according to the BYU Athletics site. Nationally he ranked 224th in 3-point field goals, and among freshman he ranked 38th.

It is unknown whether Seljaas will return to BYU in the 2017-18 season.
