Local printing shop holding Christmas-themed food drive in May

Here comes Santa Claus … in May.

Alexander’s Print Advantage in Lindon is bringing the spirit of the season at an odd time of year with a food drive in conjunction with its Christmas-themed customer appreciation party. The collected food will benefit the Food and Care Coalition in Provo.

“This time of year there aren’t very many people talking about doing
these type of things,” said Jeff Alexander, CEO of Alexander’s Print Advantage. “With this, we could contribute during the off season.”

Currently, the Food and Care Coalition in Provo is in need of non-perishable foods with its greatest needs being canned fruit, kid-friendly granola bars and canned meats.

Alexander says there are more than 700 businesses invited to participate in the open house and anyone is welcome to participate in the food drive.

“I think people will participate because I think most people are generous,” Alexander said. “Our customers when they come to this event like to participate. And I think we’ll get a great response.”

While the customer appreciate party is from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, the company will be accepting donations all day. Drop off donations at Alexander’s Print Advantage, 245 S. 1060 West in Lindon, Utah.
