Jenny Oaks Baker and Family Four celebrated Memorial Day early with a moving performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
“We love our National Anthem and were thrilled to make a music video in tribute to this great nation and those who have given their lives throughout history to protect and preserve it!” Baker wrote on Patreon.com.
Baker is a Grammy-nominated violinist from Salt Lake City. She has four children: Laura, Hannah, Sarah and Matthew. When they perform together, they are Jenny Oaks Baker and Family Four.
This music video was arranged by Kurt Bestor and directed by Steve Shimek. This performance of the United States National Anthem features Family Four with Laura on violin, Hannah on piano, Sarah on cello and Matthew on guitar.
“I do put them on my concerts as much as possible. If I have a local show and I’m in charge, I always put them on that show. The audiences seem to enjoy them performing as well,” Baker shared in vlog about parenting and performing.
“The Star-Spangled Banner” was written by Francis Scott Key in 1814. It didn’t become the official United States national Anthem until 1931 when a law was passed by Congress according to the History Channel website.
