Spring has officially sprung. We’ve had the April showers and now we have the May flowers and a whole bunch of fun ahead. Here are five weekend best bets for your entertainment purposes.
Vroom on over to University Place this Memorial Day weekend and join Rockin Hot Rod Productions for a car-tastic show. After putting shows and cruise nights together for 14 years, Rockin Hot Rod Productions sure knows how to throw a party and get car lovers of all kind together.

Friday night jam sessions are about to be taken to a whole new level. Gezzo Hall will be hosting performances by the BackView Heights, BLVD, Objects in Mirror and Carlos Viitanen. Spend the night dancing, singing and listening to great local talent.

“Betty Blue Eyes”
While World War II has ended, Northern England is still feeling its effect with continued rations. When Gilbert and his wife learn that local dignitaries are keeping a secret (they are raising a pig named Betty for a feast), they decide to steal Betty. The curtains will close for good Saturday night, so buy tickets fast and prepare to snort and squeal with laughter at this show directed by Christopher Clark.

Utah Pasifika Festival
Want to learn more about Polynesian culture? The Utah Pasifika Festival organization is here to share, cultivate and foster their Polynesian heritage for all to experience. All visitors will be able to experience rich culture by indulging in food, vendors and entertainment.

Grassroots Shakespeare: “The Tempest”
Grassroots Shakespeare would like to present “The Tempest.” Local thespians will perform one of Shakespeare’s classic tales for their summer tour. Come experience magic, romance and a bearded wizard all wrapped up into one epic performance.
