Utah-Tube: GENTRI encourages fathers ‘don’t let go’ in prodigal son-esque music video

GENTRI is sharing a message with fathers everywhere encouraging them to not give up with their Father’s Day music video, “Don’t Let Go.”

“As we approach Father’s Day weekend, we pay tribute to the men who have had the courage to love us unconditionally, to pick us up when we’ve fallen and to never stop believing in us,” GENTRI wrote on it’s Facebook. “When in the midst of trial, turmoil and tribulation, a Father’s love for his child can serve as a powerful reminder, ‘Don’t let go.'”

The Utah group, a trio of tenors that formed in 2014, shared a prodigal son story in its video featuring actors Tim Threlfall (director of BYU Music Dance Theatre), Darin Southam and Jocelyn McNeil Brown.

“This video, which I was honored to help them with and be a part of, is a much needed message of hope to all,” Southam — who plays the wayward son — wrote on Facebook. “Most especially to fathers who have lost a child to precarious paths or to children who may have become estranged to their father for disagreements.

“To all passing through the valley of the shadow of death I say hold on, ‘Don’t Let Go!’ There is hope. There is light waiting to envelope you. Reach for good and you will find that help we all so desperately need. The succor for the hungered soul.”

GENTRI includes tenors Brad Robins, Casey Elliott and Bradley Quinn Lever.
