Take a swim in Jell-O at JiggleFest.

Summer is halfway over in Utah Valley, but things are just heating up. Make the most of your July weekends by marking these Utah Valley events in your calendar.

Jigglefest

Ashton Gardens is ready to get their jiggle on. Well, at least the Jell-O will be jiggling. Grab your swimsuit and goggles and join Thanksgiving Point for Utah’s largest food fight. There will be Jell-O throwing, sprinkler running and bounce house jumping. Parents can also show off their Utah pride by bringing their favorite family recipe for compete for cool prizes.

When: July 22 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

“Beauty and the Beast”

Be Alpine Community Theater’s guest with the classic Disney musical “Beauty and the Beast.” Join Belle in the Beast’s enchanted castle as she gets to know a sweet-talking candlestick, a nervous clock and matronly teapot. And see if you too can “learn to love a beast.”

Family Film Festival

Provo City is thrilled to host the Family Film Festival for everyone to come out and enjoy both film and family time. Starting at 2 p.m. on Friday, the Covey Center will show these independent films that range in genre from animation to documentary to comedy and more. The award ceremony begins at 7:30 p.m. There will be no cost and no need for tickets, so come out and enjoy a relaxed Saturday afternoon out of the sun.

Harry Potter Yule Ball

Springville Public Library has cast another spell over Utah Valley with its annual Harry Potter Yule Ball. This is a multi-library event for all incoming 7th graders through 12th grade. Costume or formal wear is encouraged but not required. The library will have honeydukes, DJ Snape, Ollivander’s Wand Shop, wand duels and more. Expecto a good time!

Sounds Like Summer Concert Series

The Orchard at University Place is the place to go for good music, fun and a little competition. Each night in the series there will be a band competing for the most fans at their performance. This week soft rock band City Animals will be competing and performing.

Mapleton Pioneer Day Celebration

Celebrate the 24th of July a little early this year with Mapleton City. This all day event will get you in the spirit to celebrate Monday’s Pioneer Day. Activities will start in the morning with a parade, food and games in Mapleton City Park, and then evening events include food, ping-pong ball drop, skydivers, music and fireworks at Ira Allan Sports Park.
