Summer is slipping away, but summer events are still in full swing. While you are winding down and getting ready to go back to school, hold on to your summer weekends in August with these Utah Valley events.

Rooftop Concert Series

The first weekend of the month is always exciting because that means the Rooftop Concert Series is back! This Friday Fictionist will take the stage. Book on Tapeworm will open for them as well as Mia Grace. Get a taste of the best local talent and dance your Friday night away.

Alpine City Days

Alpine’s City Days festival is just beginning. This annual event includes a community dinner in the park, a fireman’s breakfast, a 5K, a dance, a rodeo and way more. When you aren’t busy participating in those other events, you can check out food and craft vendors, outdoor entertainment and other activities that cannot be missed.

“Brigadoon”

Lerner and Loewe’s Scottish musical is taking the SCERA Shell stage. Lads and lassies of all ages can enjoy the performance of two American tourists as they stumble upon the enchanted village of Brigadoon. Grab a blanket and enjoy a night of romantic music, Scottish dancing, kilts and bagpipes. Read our preview here.

Eagle Mountain Street Fair

Get ready for the ultimate small business event. Over 100 small businesses will line the streets of Peregrine Rd. All businesses are local and are ready to interact with the community. There will food trucks in addition to the small business, and there will be a new Hub area for Kids Biz contest winners, local dancers will perform and there will be a numbers mural.

When: Aug. 5 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Salem Days

Salem Days is here and the celebration is in full swing. This weekend kicks off the weeklong celebration with mud volleyball, Little Miss Salem Pageant and the Family Fireside. Learn more about the Salem Days events here.
