The sun and moon did not schedule their date above Utah County for the 2017 solar eclipse, but that’s not stopping a Krispy Kreme glaze craze.
In order to witness the total eclipse of the sun, travelers must look up from a 70-mile-wide strip of land from Oregon to South Carolina. Sadly, Utah County is not on that path. But if you are staying local for the solar eclipse, donut despair. Chocolate lovers can experience a culinary eclipse in Utah County.
Certian Krispy Kreme locations will make chocolate glazed donuts just for the days leading to the solar eclipse during select hot light hours. And the best part is, the Orem Krispy Kreme location on University Parkway is participating.
Orem Krispy Kreme will sell the chocolate glaze donuts between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Aug. 19 and 20 leading up to the eclipse. On August 21, they will sell them between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Other nearby participating Krispy Kreme locations include Layton, Utah and Meridian, Idaho.
