Summer may be taking a backseat to school, but summer events are still in full swing. While you are winding down and getting used to your back-to-school schedule, hold on to your summer weekends a little longer in August with these Utah Valley events.
Dancing Under the Stars
Lay out on the lawn of the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre and enjoy a night of ballroom, jazz and hip-hop choreography performed by award-winning teams from Center Stage Performing Arts Studios. Get ready for a night of gazing at stars in the sky and on stage.

American Fork History and Heritage Pageant
The American Fork Arts Council is excited about the return of its History and Heritage Pageant. The whole family can enjoy spectacular entertainment, food, wagon rides, arts and crafts and the famous 25-cent ice cream cones. Spend time with family and spend time getting to know American Fork at the pageant this weekend.
When: Aug. 25–28 from 6 p.m. until dark

The countdown to kickoff is finally over. BYU Cougar fans, get ready because the team is back and ready for their season opener against the Portland State Vikings. Fans should wear navy for this game to support the Cougs.

Barks and Bites
Time to pamper your pooch at the Outlets at Traverse Mountain’s very first Barks and Bites event. What’s an event without food trucks, live entertainment, a photo booth and pet-friendly retailers? All the proceeds from this event will be going to benefit the Best Friends Animal Society.
When: Aug. 26 from 3-8 p.m.

It’s time for the children to shine in Spanish Fork’s very first Children’s Market. This is a special market because the entire market is ran by kids form ages 4-16. Take a stroll this weekend down Liberty Square and enjoy crafts, treats and other goodies all made locally.
