Violinist Lindsey Stirling announced she will join the cast of “Dancing With the Stars” for Season 25, she announced Wednesday.
Stirling — who is paired with dancer Mark Ballas — has already given the celebrity dance partners a nickname, Team STARK.
“I still can’t believe I’m on this season of @dancingabc with Mark Ballas. I’ve wanted to be on the show for years so let’s do this together,” Stirling wrote on Facebook.
In 2015, Stirling received her degree in recreation management from BYU. A classically trained violinist from Gilbert, Arizona, Stirling earned her way to fame through her YouTube channel. The BYU graduate has a unique style of music that blends pop and violin — and it is all accomplished while she dances.
Other stars announced as part of the Season 25 lineup include actor Frankie Muniz, “Shark Tank” shark Barbara Corcoran, former Paralympic athlete Victoria Arlen, singer Debbie Gibson, 98 Degrees frontman Nick Lachey, TV personality Vanessa Lachey, Nikki Bella of the WWE, Drew Scott of HGTV’s “Property Brothers,” Sasha Pieterse of “Pretty Little Liars,” basketball star Derek Fisher, singer Jordan Fisher and football star Terrell Owens.
“Dancing With the Stars” starts on ABC on Sept. 18.
