University Place is adding four new locally-owned restaurants to its complex — and its good news for those who love Asian cuisine.
Ahi Muse, Itto Sushi, Tepanyaki Japanese Steakhouse and Teriyaki Stix now join Seasons Food Court and more than 25 other food and beverage options at University Place.
“What’s unique about all four of these new restaurants is that on top of serving delicious fare, they are all locally owned,” Randy Woodbury, president of Woodbury Corporation, in a press release. “We take pride in being able to offer diners a wide variety of food options, and we’re glad to welcome these new additions to University Place.”
This all-you-can-eat sushi and steak restaurant, includes a variety of seafood including lobsters and crabs. Ahi Muse — which celebrated its grand opening earlier this month — will host live entertainment and music daily, as well as monthly tuna shows. It is located in The Village along 800 East in Orem.
This sushi bar is known for serving fresh, never frozen fish; it is delivered from San Francisco. The restaurant serves premium Japanese rice cooked properly at a high heat for a short time. Itto Sushi is located on next to Macy’s just east of Midici The Neapolitan Pizza Company and right by the 545 University Place Office Building, and has an anticipated open date of late November.
Tepanyaki Japanese Steakhouse
A hibachi-style restaurant, this restaurant dishes up meals at the table. Tepanyaki Japanese Steakhouse will be located near the corner of University Parkway and 800 East, directly east of Starbucks. It is anticipated it will open in November.
This alternative to fast food is opening at the beginning of November at The Village, between the Cinemark movie theater and Deseret Book. The restaurant offers salad and rice bowls using fresh ingredients.
University Place, formerly known as University Mall, is a 120-acre mixed-use development project. Other restaurants that have recently opened at University Place include Oh Mai, offering Vietnamese sandwiches; Swig n’ Sweets, which offers unique blended beverages and cookies; Midici The Neapolitan Pizza Company, offering up authentic Neapolitan style pizza’s.
Additionally, the development has a five-story parking structure under construction directly west of The Orchard. There will be more than a thousand parking stalls in the structure, which will be built in two phases, with the first scheduled for completion in November, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
