The countdown to the holidays has officially begun. Fight the sweater weather temptation to stay indoors and start your holiday celebrations early with these weekend events.

“Hello Dolly”

A night out on the town along with seeing “Hello, Dolly” is likely to be a match made in heaven, just like the ones made by matchmaker Dolly Levi. It’s impossible to resist watching the story of Dolly finding a bride for businessman Horace Vandergelder unfold on the stage. Say hello to Dolly and the rest of the cast at the Hale Center Theater in Orem.

When: Oct. 5 – Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. with Saturday matinee at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Hee Haw Farms

Get one more weekend of fall before Hee Haw Farms closes for the season. Pick your own pumpkin, go on a hayride or join in another fall fun event at Hee Haw Farms. Read more about the fall festivities here.

Pedal Provo Ghost Tour

Provo is cycling up its own kind of fear by taking to the streets on bicycles and learning the city’s horror stories. Two different routes are available, one on Friday nights and one on Saturday nights, which means double the scare. All stories are true, and riders will never look at Provo the same again. Get ready for some spooks and spokes.

“Wit and Whimsy: Off the Deep End”

Meet Utah’s modern-day Picassos. Featuring humorous, witty and whimsical pieces from 12 contemporary Utah artists, the new exhibit at the Springville Museum of Art are both relatable and quirky.

Welcome the first November weekend with a free concert at the Covey Center for the Arts. Laura Lambert Allen has performed throughout Utah at the Assembly Hall at Temple Square, Fibbonaci Art series and others.
