BYU Noteworthy teamed up with BYU Women’s Chorus to perform a faith-filled anthem, “When You Believe.”
The 9-woman a cappella group created a cover of the song made famous by powerhouse singers Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. “When You Believe” is the climax song in the animated feature, “The Prince of Egypt.”
“A tribute to the combined power of faith, this stirring song from the animated film ‘The Prince of Egypt’ seemed a perfect opportunity to invite our friends from the BYU Women’s Chorus to join us,” BYU Noteworthy wrote on YouTube. “Acting as the children of Israel singing a Hebrew prayer of gratitude, we sing, ‘In Your love, You lead the people You have redeemed.’
BYU Noteworthy was first organized in 2003. In 2009, the group competed on NBC’s “The Sing-Off.” BYU Noteworthy’s most popular video to date was “Amazing Grace,” which garnered more than 30 million views.
