American Fork’s Maquel Cooper will compete on Season 22 of “The Bachelor.”

The popular reality TV show has 29 contestants race to win the heart of one man. In Season 22, the women will compete to win the love of Arie Luyendyk Jr., a former Indy 500 racer who now works as a real estate broker in Scottsdale, Arizona. Six years ago, Luyendyk competed on “The Bachelorette” and had his heart broken by Emily Maynard.

Cooper, a 23-year-old photographer, said in the show’s contestant profiles that going on the reality TV show is the craziest thing she’s ever done.
