The “other” Provo Temple, on the east bench above BYU, was the 18th LDS building dedicated to perform temple work. If you’re fact-checking this paragraph, you’ll learn that the Provo Temple is actually the 15th continuously in operation. We reach the magical number 18 when we include the Kirtland Temple (dedicated in 1836), the original Nauvoo Temple (dedicated in 1846) and the Endowment House (dedicated in 1855), used during the building of the Salt Lake Temple.
