Welcome to the end of the second week of 2018. Hopefully, you haven’t already broken your New Year’s resolutions. Either way, you can celebrate or mourn your resolutions at these fun local events.

Good Vibrations! A Celebration Of The Beach Boys 

Ever dreamed of seeing the Beach Boys in concert? Now you can, kind of. This show re-creates the timeless California spirit and incredible music of a Beach Boy concert. Good Vibrations features a cast from founding Beach Boys’ Brain Wilson and Al Jardine’s touring bands. The cast is perfectly qualified to faithfully re-produce all of the bands legendary songs.  This high-energy production is filled with all of The Beach Boys’ signature hits including “Surfin’ USA,” “I Get Around,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “California Girls,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Kokomo,” “Barbara Ann” and of course, the group’s namesake classic.

Night Owling

Enjoy the solitude of Mount Timpanogos during the winter months on a professionally guided snow shoe tour presented by the Great Basin Wildlife Rescue. The experts will use live owls to teach about wildlife in the winter. After, the group is welcome to head out on a trail to call and locate owls in the area.

“Dear Ruth”

In a case of love letters gone wrong, “Dear Ruth” tells the comedic story about two sisters and a soldier serving overseas. When Miriam poses as her older sister, Ruth, by mailing letters and Ruth’s photo to Lieutenant William Seawright, the teenager thinks her actions are harmless. Then Lt. Seawright shows up during his two-day leave to propose to unaware, already happily engaged Ruth.

BYU Women’s Gymnastics vs. Cal Berkeley 

You’ll flip, or maybe they’ll flip, at the BYU BYU women’s gymnastic meet Friday night. Put on your blue and cheer for your favorite Cougars!
