Maquel Cooper, a former contestant on ABC’s “The Bachelor,” did not get invited to participate in the Season 22 “Women Tell All” episode of “The Bachelor.” Her fellow Utah contestant, Marikh Mathis, was in attendance.
The purpose of the “Women Tell All” episode is to bring all of the contestants together from the current season to talk about what happened during the show. After the episode aired on Sunday night, fans were quick to message Cooper about her absence. Cooper posted this on her Instagram story about the snub.
“I’ve had a lot of you message me and ask why I wasn’t at the women tell all,” Cooper wrote. “Go comment on @bachelorabc wta photo and ask why I wasn’t there cause I’d like to see what their excuse is.”
Mathis has yet to comment about Cooper’s absence, but she did take to Instagram to explain the comments she made on the “Women Tell All” episode and about her experience on the show.
When Cooper first appeared on the show, she made a memorable first impression on the girls and Arie Luyendyk Jr., the Season 22 bachelor.
“Sorry I’m late,” Cooper, a 23-year-old photographer, said as she climbed out of the back of an Indy race car.
Cooper’s car revving entrance brought the other contestants to the window as well as respect and hatred from her competition.
During her five weeks on the show, Cooper participated in a demolition derby, created her own “G.L.O.W.” fight routine and left the show for a time to go attend her grandpa’s funeral. When Cooper returned from the funeral, Luyendyk sent her home in the same episode.
