Meet one of Utah Valley Magazine's 2018 Fab 40


Age: 32

The Journey Hailing from the island of Samoa, Afa Ah Loo is a self-taught fashion designer whose pieces have been featured in Fiji Fashion Week. Unlike other fashion designers, Afa doesn’t use patterns or draping. He create his ideas by simply looking at a picture. Afa’s designs are described as classic, elegant, stunning and “sweetly bold.” Afa is also a talented singer, baker and piano player.

Mile Markers “My mother had always encouraged me to pursue fashion, and when she passed, I decided to take her advice and just go for it. Other big milestones have been meeting my wife and moving to Utah!”
