2018 Fab 40: Dr. Paul Jenkins

Meet one of Utah Valley Magazine's 2018 Fab 40

Age: 51

The Journey As an author, YouTuber, podcaster and licensed psychologist, Dr. Paul educates on how to operate minds in a positive way. Two years in Finland on an LDS mission helped Dr. Paul find his passion for talking about principles that “help people and light them up.” After 12 years practicing medical psychology, he refocused to positive psychology and strives to help everyone maintain a good state of mental well-being. “I realized these principles help everyone — whether they have a diagnosed mental illness or not,” Dr. Paul says.

Road Blocks “We are going to encounter resistance — there are always obstacles if we are on the right path. A financial crisis really tested me and what I teach. But now I can truthfully say you can be happy all of the time.”

Home Away From Home “Finland. My wife and I served our missions there and we returned to visit 30 years later. I’m translating some of my principles into Finnish so I can go back and present my ideas to companies.”

Must-Have “My phone because of my human treasures: my colleagues, friends and family. I collect people and I carry them around with me.”
