The Journey Gordon has earned four medical degrees, published a cure for malaria in Africa, and is a bestselling author with titles such as “The Most Precious Metal.” He is also a father of three — and a newlywed.

Road Blocks “I suffer from epilepsy, which has led to me being fired from many jobs. Just as I became a doctor in the world’s biggest pharmaceutical company, I had a seizure in the office during my first year and they said, ‘See ya.’ I had to start my path over many times.”

Mile Markers “When I help someone do something they can’t do on their own, it’s often an answer to their prayers. I am happiest when I help people.”

Vacation Destination “I love Hawaii. It’s a place of healing. It’s not just the sun and the weather, it’s the water and the people and the overall feeling. Time slows down.”

Local Destination “I love floating down the Provo River with my friends, family and the young men I work with.”
